Every year on June 5th United Nations celebrates World Environment Day.

World Environment Day is celebrated on June 5 every year. It is the United Nations’ flagship day for promoting worldwide awareness and action for the environment. Over the years, it has grown to be the largest global platform for environmental public outreach and is celebrated by millions of people across the world.

The theme for World Environment Day 2019

Every Year the United Nations marks a different focus to celebrate the day/week.   This is initiated by the country hosting the main event for the year chooses the theme for World Environment Day.

World Environment Day 2019 host China chose the theme ‘Beat Air Pollution, it is a call for action call to combat the global crisis and has been chosen by this year’s host, China

Focusing on the topic “Beat Air Pollution” invites people to consider how they can change their everyday lives to reduce the amount of air pollution and thwart its contribution to global warming and its effects on health, according to the global body.

A major part of the Earth today is under the grip of heatwaves. The weather is unstable and in a short period of time, it changes unpredictably.   The recent weather changes in Indian cities firmly say that.

World Environment Day, the main aim of the day is to make awareness among people about the seriousness of the environmental problems we are facing day to day and to give a human face to the environmental issues

THE RECENT HAIL STORM IN MY CITY AND THE AFTERMATH

Trees fell in the middle of the road in twin cities due to the heavy hailstorm and rain.  Electricity supply and traffic block continued for several hours.
