Do you know how to network like a professional blogger?  Some bloggers toss around the word ” network ” without knowing what it genuinely means.

I had to learn networking the hard way. Guys; this goes well beyond tapping a “retweet” button a few times. Amazing, connected bloggers like Philip do not invite you to guest post on their blogs unless you build meaningful friendships with other bloggers.

Professional bloggers are about the most skilled networkers on earth.

Top post on IndiBlogger, the biggest community of Indian BloggersHere’s how to network like a pro.

1: Network to Build Meaningful Friendships

Lose the picture of old skool, offline, power networking.

We are not talking about playing the dreaded numbers game, trying to meet as many people as possible to manipulate your profits and traffic stats. Nope. Pro bloggers network to genuinely befriend other human beings.

Hold a genuine intent. Be generous. Network to make good friends with other human beings. Network from the heart to become a pro networker.

2: Be Patient And Network Like a Professional Blogger

Pro bloggers network from a patient, calm, energy.

Good things take time. Building strong friendships with other bloggers is most definitely a good thing.

Professional bloggers are the most skilled networkers on earth. Says Ryan Biddulph the travel blogger on pvariel.com Share on X

No meaningful, genuine friendship happens overnight because humans need some time and space to make buddies with other humans. Did you ever make a best friend offline in 5 minutes? Of course not. No way can you become the best blogging buddies with someone in 5 minutes, either. Good things take time. Be patient. Allow friendships to grow organically.

3: Network Like a Professional Blogger – Give with No Focus on Getting

As a rule, pro bloggers network to genuinely give without devoting any thought of getting. Why? If you just want to help someone and have no interest in getting anything from the relationship you prove that you are deeply interested in the human being, not in what the human can do for you.

This is a skill most humans need to cultivate because most of us are taught to focus inward, to take care of ourselves first, then, we can care for others. This is the wrong mindset to take into networking because you focus on your needs versus the needs of other bloggers. My inbox gets littered with unknown bloggers who want to get massive exposure on Blogging From Paradise but have no interest in:

  • building a meaningful friendship with me
  • gaining my trust
  • practicing their writing to become skilled bloggers who’d impress my readership with their content

I ignore these requests because these people want to get without giving generously.

PHIILIPSCOM INTERVIEW WTIH RYANRead an amazing interview I had with Ryan Biddulph the blogging machine recently.

In this conversation, he shared few vital secrets in blogging as well as revealed the secrets of his guest posting spree.

An amazing story of a former security guard turned blogger cum eBook Machine.  A must read for all bloggers professional and newbies.

Meanwhile, skilled, generous networkers who patiently promote me, endorse me and help me in as many ways as possible gradually befriend me. Once we become friends, many prospering opportunities arise between two bloggers bonded from generous, genuine energy.

4: Do Not Quit on Networking or Ignore its Power

Most bloggers quit on networking before making meaningful friendships because they ignore the immense power of bonding with pro bloggers.

I have seen success because my blogging friends help to open doors for me.

Nobody can blog successfully on their own. We all grow through our friendships.

New bloggers can start with nothing, coming out of nowhere, and reach great heights through patient, generous, genuine networking. Friendships are that powerful.

Even if you are not tremendously skilled or incredibly talented, you can become quite successful through the power of your friend network.

Network Like a Professional Blogger  – Wrapping It Up

Do not underestimate networking like a genuine, professional blogger.

You need to dig deeper, pay attention to details and be more mindful than amateur blogger networkers but at the end of the day, the benefits of being a pro networker are so worth the mindfulness, attention, and energy you give to this endeavor.

Simply observe how Philip’s generous, mindful networking mushrooms his presence online. Take a look at how many blogging buddies he has made and how his dear friends respond to his posts in a genuine fashion.

If you show love, you will get love.

This is how to network like a professional blogger.

    Hi Philip,
good to see Ryan here writing about networking. This fits because you are also a genuine networker. It is right that bloggers are skilled networkers and bring people from all over the world together, build connection and friendship. This makes blogging fun. Other than only hunting for backlinks or traffic :) I see you did write about comments that will not be approved. What they do is not the right way.
Ryan did write beautifully about networking and this is how it should be.
    Thank you, Ryan and Philip

It’s taken me some time to realise the power of giving, not getting in the online world. It’s a good point that we trust people slowly who are not trying to ‘get’ all the time. Thanks for the share.

  16. It’s funny how things work out. When you network and expect immediate returns, you get squat.
But when you network with the intention to help and connect with fellow bloggers, then you do get something in return, and often more than you hoped for, and more times to.
The benefit is lasting and compounding.
Networking is key to blogging success!
