We Are Living In A Peace less Society: Here Is A Recipe For Peace Try This Out!
“And let the peace of God rule in your hearts” (Col. 3:15).
To insure the success of this recipe for Peace, refer to the Instruction Book often and Recipe for carefully: “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (II. Tim. 2:15).
The first ingredient needed is confession of sins, mixed with belief: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (Rom. 10:9).
Add one grain of faith: “If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed … nothing shall be impossible unto you (Matt. 17:20).
Stir in a generous portion of prayer: “Pray without ceasing” (I Thess. 5:17).
Add a brimming cupful of love: “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee” (Isa. 26:3); “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thyself” (Luke 10:27).
Add a heaping tablespoonful of humility: “By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, and honor, and life” (Pray. 22:4).
Season with the essence of righteousness: “And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance forever” (Isa. 32:17).
Also season with the essence of godliness, faith, love, patience, and meekness: “Follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness” (I Tim. 6:11).
Top with obedience: “Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men” (Acts 5:29). “To obey is better than sacrifice” (I Sam. 15:22).
This recipe will not produce results if stored, but if used daily will produce peace:
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27).
To make a larger portion, disregard these proportions and mix together these and similar ingredients in as large a quantity as possible, and you will have unmeasured blessing and a peace that passes understanding (Phil. 4:7).
