B is for Blog Comments, my previous post too was related to comments, I am forced to write a bit more about this wonderful subject called  Blog Comments.

Every first Wednesday the members of IWSG community writes about their activities mainly concentrating on their writing fears, doubts, solutions to the many problems writers faces in their daily writing life. Alex Cavanaugh, who started this platform to help each other (The writing community). Though I missed some of the assignments I am glad to present my installment for the month along with this month’s A to Z Challenge.

In the recent past in relation to commenting on different blog pages, I have noticed and experienced a bit disgusting experience. While posting comments through Google’s G+ comment box the first comment we post never shows or receive any message like, “your comment is under moderation, or it will appear after the moderation” instead it will disappear in the air, but if you copy the same comment before pressing the submit button if paste it again and send it will show on the page, if you do not save the typed comment you need to type all the sentences again, for this, most of the time a tedious job and may not remember what we typed earlier!

g plus comment box
G+ Comment Box

So my dear fellow bloggers, those who are using the G+ comment box, please make a note of this and copy and save the comment before you press the publish/submit button. This is an alert I want to make this month’s IWSG page to my friends. Save your time and energy by saving your typed comments. If you are directly typing it in the comment box it is a must to take a copy and then press the publish button.

Coming to the Communities and Forums

Yes, Blogging communities are an integral part of a blogger and his activities.

Through these platforms, a blogger can accrue knowledge about blogging and many other related activities on blogging. And at the same time, it will give a great boost to blog traffic to their respective blogs.

There are a good number of blog communities in the world of internet. In this post, I am introducing some of the wonderful communities where I am a member.

In fact, I enjoy being in these pages of fellow bloggers meeting together to share their views, doubts, and suggestions.

Alex is a terrific novelist who wrote a good number of books which are bet selling science fiction novels in the western bookstores.  In this page people from around the world air their doubts, fear, ideas, suggestions in relation to blogging and writing.  Any blogger can visit this page and join in by clicking on this link:  IWSG

 Kingged.Com

The second community online is the community called Kingged.com, where a good number of well-known bloggers share their posts in

king

different categories. It offers cash awards and many other giveaways through this platform. The founder and Admin of this community are Mr. Kingsley. He personally deals with the members and answers the queries. In the recent time, they have introduced various other opportunities for the writers to make money through their activities on these pages. One of my blogger friends wrote a review on this platform. 2. I have learned to copy all of my comments before posting. It’s tedious, but easier than having to remember what you wrote and type it all up again.

Excellent post! I’m sure Alex would be very happy with it. :)

    • Hi Chrys,
Yes, that is a tedious job but when comparing typing all again is this is far more better,
earlier there was no such problem we faced through G+ comment box. It is still not fixed,
instead we need to take precautions. It is better to copy and keep one before pressing the
      submit button
Thanks for your valuable presence again.

  3. Hello there.
Interesting information, albeit a little long for the AtoZ Challenge. I almost didn’t leave you a comment either because of the extra step of having to enter the CAPTCHA! Thanks for sharing though.

  4. When C is for “comments”, I suppose I have to leave one. ;-)

It is very ambitious to take on this A-Z challenge…especially when you get to letters like x and z. I shall have to watch to see what you come up with.

    • Indeed, David. It will be interesting to see how Philip goes with this. It’s not easy sticking to something from start to finish, let alone writing about every letter. But I am confident he will pull it off, :)

Talking about surprises… guess what he wrote about with D ;)

  6. Hi Phil,

Let me start by thanking you for the kind mention of the ABC (Aha!NOW Blog Community), which is still in it’s Beta, but I think it’s creating tiny ripples in the Blogosphere, for which we have our wonderful Ahaian’s to thank, as it exists because of them.

I guess without any cash rewards or giveaways now, it’s doing well as bloggers and non-bloggers are welcome to share their posts, stories, experiences, and just be with everyone, with no strings attached. We recently started the guest posting options too for all, so that it’s a platform FOR people, to genuinely help them, and I hope it works that ways.

Yes, the other communities are wonderful too, as I’ve been a part of Kingged earlier, and the other one Rohan mentioned about. I guess if the main aim is to help people, anything is good, isn’t it?

Thanks for sharing this with us. Have a nice week ahead, and hope you had a lovely Easter too :)

    Hi Phil.

Thanks for the mention. Yes Kingged is an excellent place, though I’ve struggled to get on over the past couple of weeks because of some other projects I’ve been working on.

And do you know what? Traffic has decreased slightly. It’s proof of the pudding that Kingged works.

    thanks Phil, sharing out now.

I am with others, thanks for sharing this Philip.

There are a couple I have not heard of before. I’ll have to check them out.

I did sign up for ABC or Aha, but have not really used it. Think I got a little lost trying to find my way around. Need to get back there and figure it out.

Another vote for Kingged from me. It’s a great site with some amazing people. Just the connections alone have been worth spending some time there.

  13. Hello Philip,

Thanks a lot for adding Kingged.com to list of blogging communities and forums. Very much appreciated.

I like that you listed others, apart from Kingged. Like I have said many times in the past, I always encourage people to use more than one blogging community, forum or social networking site. There are way too many great posts published daily than there are blogging communities, forums or social networking sites to help promote them.

So, the more blogging communities, forums and social networking sites that are out there to submit posts on, the merrier, especially as we have now entered the era of “spending more time promoting posts than writing them” ;)

But of course, it’s also a good idea for many of the blogging communities and the likes to do more to help their members reach more people with their posts. And that’s what Kingged.com has been focused on doing, and will be doing a lot more of that moving forward – help our members get their shared, syndicated or unique posts read by LOTS more people than just those on our platform.

Thanks again, for writing this and for adding Kingged to the list. I see you also shared this on Kingged.com. I have “kingged” it and am sure others will as well, :)
