Meet Philip Verghese Ariel of PVAriel.com

An Interview I had with Zac Johnson of Blogging Tips.  A post originally published on the pages of BloggingTips.com

Blogging is an excellent way to put yourself out into the world and giving yourself the opportunity to standout from the crowd. This is especially true if you have something unique to offer or trying to sell a specific service of skill. It’s one thing to have an email address and a social profile, it’s a completely different story if you have a website or blog to show off your expertise, work history, and previous clients or testimonials.

This will actually be a topic of discussion in this week’s Meet the Blogger Interview  series, as Philip V Ariel has been using blogging to expand his personal and professional reach, while also making some great business contacts and opportunities in the process. Read along to discover his story, while also improving your own blogging skills in the process.

1.) Please tell us about yourself and how you got into blogging?

Philip Verghese ArielI am Philip Verghese ‘Ariel’, a freelance writer. I am a multi-lingual blogger, an internet marketer, and a social campaigner from Kerala, India, commonly known as ‘the God’s own country’. I’m presently based at Hyderabad, another southern state in India. Though I’ve had the passion for writing from a very young age, I never thought of entering into the field of blogging. It all happened as a mere coincidence and an encounter with a colleague. You can read more about that in my page Philip V Ariel.

2.) What is the focus of your blog and why did you choose that niche?

My main focus is to share the knowledge I acquired on my long journey with my fellow beings especially on the religious matter. I was very fond of religious matters and I thought of spreading an awareness among people about the joy I am enjoying in Jesus Christ. As my page is not a single niche, instead, it’s a multi-niche page. In the initial stage, it dealt with religious articles and, later on, the current issues like global warming, current affairs and various other subjects such as internet-related subjects like blogging, SEO, Social Media, Internet marketing, etc. So, there is no single niche selection.

3.) How are you currently monetizing your blog traffic

Currently, I am monetizing, mainly on AdSense, paid ads, link placement, sponsored review posts, and paid guest posts. Affiliate marketing, too, is presently an added monetization strategy .

4.) What do you know now that you wish you knew when you first started blogging?

How nice it would have been if I would have known about WordPress and its vast opportunity and the features it provides. Another thing is, how good it would have been if someone suggested to me to go for a good domain which includes the keyword.

8.) What’s the best advice or tip you’ve discovered about blogging since getting started?

Yes, the best I can say is the one I always mentioned in the answer to the previous question. Visit, Read, And Comment. Your comments on others’ pages, if it is a constructive one, will pull traffic and engagement to your page. I have written a post regarding this in my page in “Power of Blog Comments”.

In fact, I was a blog comment author before starting a blog of my own. So later when I started my own blog, I followed this strategy of commenting on others pages and I could get a good number of influencers on the go. So please do go visit, read well, and write a wonderful and meaningful comment. That will get the attraction of the other visitors of the page and they will land ultimately to your page.

9.) If you only had $100 to start a new blog, how would you use it?

First, I will go for a good domain with a wonderful keyword in it. Then I’d go for a good hosting platform. Now, I have an idea about it and I will select only the best hosting platform (notice there are a number of bogus platforms around which offer sweet offers but sadly many do not stick to their offers) which meets all my blogging needs. Of course with the rest of the amount, I’d get a few essential plugins/tools and then I would hire an expert techie who is well versed in blogging techniques as I am still a “baby” in technical matters. I think, within this amount, this is very much possible!

10.) How can readers of the blog get in touch with you?

I currently have four blogs, two event blogs, and two multi-niche blogs.

Readers can reach me via my blog pages as well as my social site pages:

Main blog: Philipscom
New Site: Newsandviewsforyou.com

Also, can reach me via my social media pages:
Facebook: PhilipsCom
Twitter: @PVAriel
Google+: +PVAriel

Also, they can reach me via my skype and email:

Thanks again to Philip Verghese Ariel for taking the time to share your advice and story with the Blogging Tips community. If you would like to learn about other bloggers and how they are finding success online, be sure to read through our blogger interview series.

  1. Hi Phillip and Zac,

I enjoyed reading the interview you had and learning more about your blogging career. For instance I had no idea you had those other blogs!

Tip 7 is the one I wish I had understood when I first started blogging. I wrote and wrote and wrote for months without thinking of looking at other blogs :-( What a waste of time that was. I know better now!

    Great to catch up again.

Enjoyed both of these articles, Philip well done my friend.
