Facebook: A Shocking News And 13 Must-know Marketing Tricks and Tips For Successful Marketing Strategies

Facebook is one of the top social media in the internet world today! In fact, at the present moment, Facebook is the one at the top of the list.

No doubt there are a good number of competitors in this field, still, the giant occupies the first place.

This was my firm belief, but to my surprise today when I was about to post an article, I just noticed an article, a shocking information about this superstar of social media.

This is an article published by Inc.com by its San Francisco bureau chief, Jeff Bercovici under the title “The Worst Thing That Could Happen to Facebook Is Already Happening”  is indeed a shocking news to many!

The author says:  “Have you by any chance noticed yourself feeling less friendly toward Facebook lately? Perhaps you still open the app a few times a day to check your notifications and scroll through a few posts, comment on a viral video, “like” a story from The New York Times. But when it comes to the personal stuff–your vacation photos, your job announcements, your gripes about the wait at the DMV–you’re just not sharing it like you used to.

If so, you’re not alone. Far from it. In the last few months, Facebook has quietly shifted into crisis mode. According to The Information, “original broadcast sharing”–ie. posts consisting of users’ own words and images–fell 21 percent from 2014 to 2015, contributing to a 5.5 percent decrease in total sharing. In response, the company created a task force in London whose mission is to devise a strategy to stem the ebb and get people sharing again. Among the measures taken so far: a change in the News Feed algorithm that privileges original status updates over professional content like news links and viral videos, and Wednesday’s mishap-marred roll-out of a new live-video-streaming feature.

Whatever may be stored in for its users, its popularity is still increasing and its users are very keenly watching and posting their notifications status update etc on their pages.   And of course, the writers and bloggers have their own business pages too!

Here is yet another wonderful post, written by the content guru Nicole Blanckenberg of StoreYa on the pages on Busines2commmunity website.

She says:  “It’s becoming more and more important to take a more personal approach to how you advertise to your target audience in order to stand out from the crowd. Nothing could be more true than navigating Facebook. Facebook currently has over 2 billion users, and as the platform continues to grow, newsfeeds changes are implemented and eCommerce businesses increase, your Facebook competition is getting tighter by the minute.

In this week’s post, we look at 13 fantastic Facebook marketing tricks and tips to help you make the most out of your Facebook marketing strategies this year…”

  2. Hi Philip,

Love this post! Facebook sure has been changing so quickly it is difficult to even keep up with all the changes. I’m usually on there a lot with my pages and noticed lately they put on the side how much time one will respond .. mine is 15 hours. I did take this up with them and they had said they were working on it. It is a new algorithm that hasn’t been perfected yet.

But I find that if used wisely and take note of the many points this infographic shows, we can do pretty well on that platform.

Thanks, Philip and it is great seeing you again,

  5. Hi Philip,

Facebook was good when its timeline looked great. Now more clutter is coming up. The option to react to posts looks too cluttered, simple like button was fair enough.

The information shared is really good.

    Hey Philip Sir,

I am not a huge fan of Facebook but I am getting most of my traffic from Facebook. Facebook is good for networking. It’s quite hard to get engagement on Facebook pages and as mentioned in the post, 75% of companies need to invest to increase their page engagement.

I have a few pages that’s why I know a little bit of Facebook pages but I am still learning various aspects of Facebook engagement and promotions.

    Thanks,

    Hi Pv

Thanks for sharing this amazing resources.

As for the shocking news, I believe that there will be a division on this issue.
Some of the changes Facebook has made have favored some people while it has failed others.

Let us see what turns out in the coming months.
    Thanks.
