Existence of Artificial Intelligence And the Gripping Fear.

Artificial Intelligence has been in existence for almost a decade now.

But there is a lot to achieve in this area.  All we could achieve is AI development code libraries which works mostly with supervised learning.

Tech Giants like Google, Microsoft, and Facebook are working hard to develop a system which can provide unsupervised learning support.

What is Artificial Intelligence?

Artificial intelligence also, known as AI is the ability of a computer program or machine to think and learn.

In other words, in Computer Science it is also called as Machine Intelligence.

It is the intelligence exhibited by machines in contrast to natural intelligence by humans.

Artificial intelligence More Better definitions

Artificial intelligence (AI) is an area of computer science that emphasizes the creation of intelligent machines that work and react like humans. Some of the activities computers with artificial intelligence are designed for include:

Speech recognition

Learning

Planning

Problem-solving.   etc…

Oxford Dictionary Says: “AI is the theory and development of computer systems able to perform tasks normally requiring human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision-making, and translation between languages.”

However, AI is evolving rapidly, as is the understanding and definition of the term.”

Watch the below video to get a glimpse of it:

Artificial intelligence And The Gripping Fear

Artificial intelligence and its huge progress generated a fear grip among many employees, that these newly developed intelligence machines will soon replace their jobs.

To provide a more clear picture in this context the following infographic will show you the good and the evil side of AI.

As more companies use artificial intelligence and related tech, the need for more AI specialists continues to increase.

The Beginning of Artificial Intelligence

It is very interesting to note that Artificial intelligence as we know it began as a vacation project.

Dartmouth professor John McCarthy coined the term in the summer of 1956 when he invited a small group to spend a few weeks musing on how to make machines do things like use language.

Tom Simonite the senior writer of  Wired web portal in San Francisco reiterated that AI is poised to reinvent other areas of life. One is health care. Read a  comprehensive wired guide on AI.

The AI revolution is here and artificial intelligence is embedded in every walk of life

CP Gurnani the CEO and managing director of Tech Mahindra says:

“The world is witnessing the biggest man-machine collaboration in its history. I see a future where artificial intelligence is embedded in every walk of life”.

Many Experts also discuss the fear that AI will eliminate jobs for humans.

    Hey Philip,

Great study on Artificial Intelligence. Thanks for sharing with us. I totally agree with you that most of the employees are fearing about losing their jobs and AI is replacing in most of the cases. Written very well!
    Thanks

Though AI will automate everything. AI will be trained by programmers but AI cannot program itself according to the situation I think. So AI cannot have every solution for humans and the earth. We have messed up bigger with water, earth, and air. Only humans have the solution to everything, not the machines…

Interesting! Most researchers agree that a superintelligent AI is unlikely to exhibit human emotions like love or hate, and that there is no reason to expect AI to become intentionally benevolent or malevolent.
