She is a prolific fiction writer and having a good number of collections in her credit.

She wrote several series of posts on her pages on How To Write Series..

Thank you so much Chrys, for being  an amazing  guest at Philipscom.

I appreciate your valuable time. :-)

Over to Chrys:

Thank you, Philip, for letting me use your blog to share details about my newest short stories, Witch of Death and Ghost of Death.

First, I’m going to talk about why I think writing is great. :-)

1. You can create your own world, the people in it, and  let your imagination run wild.

2. You can live vicariously through your characters, and go anywhere in the world. (Through writing I have been in car chases, shootouts, and battles. I’ve been to other worlds and states I’ve never even visited.)

3. It is a wonderful tool to vent your emotions, from anger to sorrow.

4. You can kill off people you don’t like by making them antagonists.

5. You can give your past to your characters to gain new perspective and even explore different outcomes.

6. Reading books counts as research.

7. You get to meet many fabulous writers and authors.

8. You have the opportunity to share your work with people who appreciate it.

9. The book you write could one day be on the same shelf with books by your favorite authors.

10. You have the chance to impact the literary world, or create a legacy to pass down to your children and grandchildren.

11. For once in your life, you get to be the bad guy on the page, and get away with it.

12. You can write from the comfort of your bed. In your pajamas. :-)

13. It’s an escape and sometimes our only way to stay sane.

BOOK LINKS:

Excerpt:

Liberty Sawyer glided swiftly through the horde of police officers, reporters, and on- lookers. Black hair fell from a rigid part in the middle of her scalp to her hips. Her eyes were a soul-stabbing blue and her lips were blood-red. She towered over the other officers on the scene, and wore all black, which set off 6 the pallor of her skin.

Showing her badge to the officer, she slipped under the crime scene tape. A few paces away, she spotted Detective Corbin talking to his
new partner, a man she knew by name but hadn’t had the privilege of meeting yet.

“I cannot believe you called her,” the new man was saying when she came up behind them. “We don’t need a damn psychic!”

“Actually, I’m a witch.” She smiled when Reid jolted and turned to face her. “I’m Detective Liberty Sawyer.” She stuck out her hand.

“Detective Reid Sanders,” he grunted back and took her hand.

The feel of his palm against hers sent tingles of lust from the tips of her fingers to her shoulder blade, and she knew he felt it too by the way he jerked his hand back. She winked at him playfully, hoping it would unnerve him even more.

the lead detective on the case.
