As the definition goes, “Affiliate marketing is a type of performance-based marketing in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought by the affiliate’s own marketing efforts.”
In basic terms, it is a way of making money online by referring people to purchase some products online. Nowadays more and more businesses are starting to use this form of marketing. It is an extremely cost-effective tool as the affiliates are paid only when a purchase is made.
Being an affiliate, the commissions can range from as low as 1% with established retailers, to an extent of 80% for some new and forthcoming products. The beauty and wellness market offers most of the hefty commissions with an average of around 30% per sale.
